One of Kenya’s largest retail chains, Tuskys, has shut down one of it prime branches in Nairobi’s CBD. This is the Tuskys Beba Beba branch which has been running for the past 11 years.
The reason for this move was because the owners of the property, Bank Of Baroda, sold the property and now the new owners want to do some renovations on the property.
“The Bank of Baroda has been our landlord for 11 years. The Bank has now informed us that they have sold the property. The new owner has notified us of their intent to re-develop the property.Consequently, we have to close business in that location effective 02 May 2017.” Tuskys said in a statement.
All the 104 employees who work at the closed branch will be absorbed in other branches.
