This article focuses on Yetu Sacco membership eligibility and requirements. Yetu Sacco is a deposit taking Sacco licensed under the Societies Act, registration number CS 6366.

The Sacco was initially registered as South Imenti Tea Growers Sacco. The founders had a dream and through their visionary leaders, committed members and good prevailing economic environment, the sacco has built a rich history.

In 2010, the name Yetu Sacco was adopted when the administrative areas of presence moved beyond South Imenti in Meru County to other areas within the country.

With an asset base of 5.37 billion, Yetu Sacco is one of the largest deposit taking Saccos in Kenya.

Yetu Sacco Membership Eligibility

The Sacco membership is open to everyone. Most of the members are;

Farmers.
Business people.
Employees of both the private sector and civil service.
Corporate institutions.
Microfinance groups.

Yetu Sacco Membership Requirements

1. For Locals

Duly filled membership application form which can be downloaded from the Sacco’s website or obtained from any of its offices countrywide.
Copy of National ID.
Passport size photos.
Kshs 1,000 for registration.
Kshs 200 for initial share capital.

2. Diaspora Members

Duly filled membership application form which is available on the website.
Attach a copy of ID/ passport.
Know Your Customer (KYC).
