This article covers the entrance fees for the Diani-Chale Marine Reserve. The reserve stretches from the Tiwi Estuary to Chale Island in Diani and was gazetted in 1995 to protect the endangered marine ecosystem, including its fish and coral reefs.
The Diani-Chale Marine Reserve offers a variety of marine activities, including dhow fishing trips, windsurfing, kite surfing, snorkelling, sailing, water sports, and glass-bottom boat excursions.
Although Diani-Chale is designated as a marine reserve, there have been conflicts between local communities and the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS). This has resulted in a lack of personnel and infrastructure from KWS at the attraction.
