Ninety Nines Flying School Fee Structure

In this article, we will cover the courses offered at Ninety-Nines Flying School and their fee structure. Ninety-Nines (99) Flying School is one of the approved aviation training schools in Kenya by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority. The flying school is located at Building 41 in Wilson Airport, Nairobi.

Since its establishment in 1975, Ninety-Nines Flying School has been providing high-quality training for the private, commercial, and airline sectors. The school has a dedicated fleet of 13 training aircraft and offers training for both the Private and Commercial Pilot Licenses, as well as instrument and multi-engine ratings. They have four intakes each year, in January, April, July, and October.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • A high school certificate indicating a minimum grade of C+, with at least a C+ in English and at least a C in 2 out of the following 3 subjects: Maths, Geography, or Physics.  Degree or diploma qualifications are also accepted.
  • A copy of a medical certificate issued by a Kenyan aviation medical examiner.
  • A copy of your national ID or passport with a valid visa. Students must be at least 17 years old to begin their studies.
  • A certificate of good conduct from the police in your country, issued within the last month.
  • Four passport-sized photos.
  • A course registration form will be provided at the school once you have submitted the above documents.

  • The minimum requirement for the issuance of a Private Pilot License (PPL) by KCAA is 40 flying hours; however, this does not guarantee that the course will be completed in 40 hours, as it depends on the individual.
  • KCAA examinations are conducted every month.
  • The passing mark for all examination papers is 70%.
  • All accounts must remain in credit to continue flying.
