This article focuses on Mwea National Reserve entrance fees. Mwea National Reserve is one of the national reserves managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS). The reserve is located in the Mbeere region of Embu County. It is flanked on the south by the Tana River and River Thiba in its eastern part.
Mwea National Reserve features a Savannah ecosystem, Acacia-Commiphora bushland, and open grasslands. Major wildlife attractions to this oasis of tranquillity include: elephants, Rothschild giraffes, zebras, monkeys, gazelles, warthogs, bush pigs, jackals, hyenas, kudus, baboons, hyraxes, squirrels, impalas, hartebeests, over 300 bird species, serval cats, mongooses, hippos and crocodiles.
While at Mwea National Reserve, you can enjoy bird watching, boat riding at Kamburu Dam, guided nature walks, picnicking, and camping.
