Upon successful payment, anticipate a confirmation SMS from Mombasa County containing payment and vehicle details. Additionally, Mombasa County parking operators will have a secure record on their handheld devices, ensuring the safe and efficient parking of your vehicle.
2. Online Payment Using Mombasa County eServices Portal
Mombasa County government runs an online payment system called the Mombasa County eServices Portal. This portal allows users to pay for various services, including parking.
To register on the portal, visit eportal.mombasa.go.ke. Provide your name, phone number, email, and location. Confirm your contact channels and await account approval; this typically takes one day.
Once your account is confirmed, follow these steps: Use your national identification card to register for an account. Log in to the portal and choose the service you need – in this case, Parking. Opt for the “Pay Online” option.
The Mombasa County eServices Portal supports secure online payment methods such as M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Debit/Credit cards, and Pesalink Bank transfers. Choose the method that suits you best and complete your payment securely online.
One drawback of this method is that it takes at least a day for accounts to be approved, making the first method (USSD) more suitable if you’re in a hurry.
