The park boasts rich marine life, with its magnificent reefs serving as a habitat for diverse corals and sea creatures. According to KWS, Kisite Mpunguti has recorded about 250 fish species, 70 resident dolphins, sea turtles (including Green and Hawksbill turtles), whales, 56 genera of corals, seagrass, gastropods, and seabirds.
Regarded as the “Home of the Dolphins,” dolphin and humpback whale watching is arguably the top attraction of this gem. While visiting Kisite Mpunguti, activities such as snorkelling, birdwatching, diving, and sunbathing are highly recommended.
